Quilty
This is the quilt I made for my mother-in-law for mother's day.
And here is Julia, pre-loading the quilt with hugs and cuddles.
I named the quilt "An Angel Among Us." Apparently Margaret has always wanted me to make her an angel quilt, and these are her colors. I quilted it with hearts, and hid some butterflies around too (there is a species of butterfly called "Julia" so I thought that would be cool). The stripy border is called a "piano key" border and I thought that was fitting since Margaret is a pianist. The back is also quite pretty, with blue and pink wisteria vines. Bob and Julia "commissioned" the quilt, I designed and made it (I didn't design the angel...I used a pattern for that), and it is in the mail on the way to Margaret now.
I sent MY mother a coupon for one free quilting job. Conveniently, she already sent me a quilt she wanted quilted, so I thought that would be good.
