Should I?
Today I accidentally went to taekwondo class. "How can you accidentally go to class?" You ask. Well, I went to SEE people and to take pictures. And Ma'am made me participate. Sitting down. Wearing my boot. Stretching and doing kicks from laying on the floor. I think she wanted to make the point to me that she can do this in a safe way. I know for sure that at the other school I will be doing things I shouldn't do. She won't let me. She is trying to talk me into coming back, and just doing the one "easiest" class a week which typically has no sparring. I am very tempted. Someone try to talk some sense into me.
In other news I had a nice first vacation. Spent some quality time with my family. Here's a picture of my nephew playing with the quilt I made him. It is meant to play with matchbox cars. You can't see in the picture, but there is someone sewing in the window of one house (me) and music in the window of another (grandma) and a beagle in another (my sister eraflewr). It was fun to make.

And here I am about to jump off this tower.

Well shoot, might as well let you see me jump. I'm on the right. My sister-in-law is on the left. The commentary is from my brother and nephew.
But here's the best picture:

For the past several years at camp I have met my friends Ian and Elise to juggle, and this year we added their younger brother and sister and several other juggling enthusiasts. This isn't an officially sanctioned camp activity, but due to the popularity, we were approached at the end of the weekend to see if we are willing to put it on the official schedule next year! LOL
So today was back to the real world. But, three weeks and counting until my next vacation and I'm getting really excited.

Let's see...talk you out of TKD? Actually, I could do that. If you REALLY love it, then you know that SW will take care of you at that "easy" class (which I wish I could still take if my schedule allowed). But the biggest factor to discourage you is the same one you've always told me-- I want to see you still walking in 60 years. Or at least 50. I went back to class for the first time since July, and while I am WAAAAY out of shape and form, I could also feel the cringe of my knee saying, "What the hell are you doing?", and my knee isn't as bad as your ankle. My spin reverse hook kicks were are really sorry sight, more than usual, mainly due to my knee and being out of it for so long. So if you can help the longevity of your ankle, I wouldn't do it. If you recovered enough from what you did the other day, then do it, but just remember how long you will need that ankle, and the pain you had before, and remember if you really want to go through the PT and the cast and everything else for a long time if you continue. The end on that part.
I love the quilt! I think that's a super idea. I think it's really cool, and especially if your nephew keeps it for years to come, he'll better understand the specialness of it.
The zip line looks fun! Although I think the first time I'd be on it, I'd scream like a little girl. (Drew would be the first to tell you that!) LOL
And that's cool that they are recruiting you to create a juggling activity at camp. Geez, I always knew you were a bad influence! :-P
Glad to hear that all is going well. Just don't follow temptation unless you are willing to accept the possible consequences...
